Connect Attain to your app

  1. In Claude, open Customize → Connectors.
  2. Click + Add, then Add custom connector.
  3. Name it Attain, paste your connector link and click Continue. Claude checks the server.
  4. Keep Sign in now and Use Claude's published identity (Recommended), then click Add.
  5. Under Yours, click Connect next to Attain, sign in, then click Allow.
  6. In a chat, click +, open Connectors and switch Attain on.

Team or Enterprise: an Owner adds Attain once in Organization settings → Connectors → Add → Custom → Web. Everyone then clicks Connect under Customize → Connectors → Yours and signs in as themselves. If Claude says "A connector with this URL already exists in your organization", it has been added for you: just click Connect.

On Claude's free plan you can add one custom connector. Connectors added on claude.ai also work in the Claude desktop app.

Signing in, and fixing common problems · 1:59

  • Work email and code

    Enter your work email and click Email me a code. Type the 6-digit code from the email: it works for 10 minutes and goes through by itself.

  • Continue with Google

    Works with any Google account, and skips the code.

  • Sign in with a password

    If you already have an Attain account with a password.

New to Attain? Choose where your company is based (open sign-up is for companies in the United States), and you start on a free trial with a small daily allowance. Then click Allow, and you're connected.

Fixing common problems

No code arrives

Check your spam folder, then click Send a new code (wait 30 seconds between codes). If none arrive, ask your Attain contact to invite this email.

"That code isn't right"

Type the code from the newest email. After 5 wrong tries, or once a code is over 10 minutes old, enter your email again to get a new one.

"Sorry, we're not in your region yet"

Open sign-up is for companies in the United States, and you chose another country. Ask your Attain contact for an invite.

"Attain is by invitation right now"

Open sign-up is paused. Ask your Attain contact for an invite.

"We could not confirm your email with this sign-in"

The Google or password account has no verified email. Use your work email and a code instead.

Attain isn't available in a chat

In Claude, click +, open Connectors and switch Attain on. If it still isn't there, click Connect again under Customize → Connectors → Yours, then start a new chat.

"Auth required" or "Your Attain access has ended"

Sign-ins last up to 90 days. Use your app's Connect, Authenticate or Log in button for Attain, then start a new chat. If your access has ended, ask Attain for access.

"You have used today's … calls"

Your daily limit resets at midnight South African time. Your Attain account manager can raise it.

"Your free trial has ended"

Attain is reviewing your account and will be in touch.

"… is not on for you yet"

Ask Claude to request it, for example "request access to Candidate Search". An Attain admin reviews every request, usually within one working day.
